About the Role
As theProject Officer Threatened Species Assessment youll play a key role in shaping conservation outcomes across NSW. Youll prepare scientific nominations for threatened species and ecological communities supporting their listing under theNSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. Your work will directly inform decisions made by the NSW Threatened Species Scientific Committee and contribute to national consistency through Intergovernmental Agreement on a Common Assessment Method for the Listing of threatened species and threatened ecological communities (2015).

Youre a detail-driven conservation professional with a passion for ecology and biodiversity and a talent for scientific analysis and scientific writing. You know how to work with complex ecological data and translate it into clear evidence-based recommendations.

Who we are
DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations. DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
