We are seeking an experienced and proactive Risk Manager to lead the development and implementation of risk management systems across major infrastructure projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring project teams are equipped to identify assess and manage threats and opportunities effectively contributing to successful project delivery and long-term resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a robust risk management framework aligned with ISO31000 and industry best practices.
  • Lead risk identification analysis and treatment planning across design construction commercial and operational activities.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and training sessions for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analysis including schedule risk analysis with the planning team.
  • Analyse project risk registers using tools such as @Risk and Deltek Acumen Risk.
  • Provide reporting to senior managers including risk-adjusted cost estimates and sensitivity analyses.
  • Monitor compliance with risk procedures and support continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with design engineering and construction leads to embed risk awareness and mitigation strategies into project planning.

While this role is ideally based from our ORorke Road office in Penrose Auckland were open to considering candidates located in Wellington or Christchurch.

Nga pūkenga matua Important Skills

  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in risk management within engineering and construction projects.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline; formal training in risk management preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at various levels
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate insights to senior management
  • Familiarity with ISO31000 other standards (ISO9001 ISO45001 ISO14001) and HS&E legislation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
