What you will do:

Join our team and you will be joining our cause to build a world thats safe comfortable and sustainable. Johnson Controls is developing the next generation of smart and connected buildings. Through a full range of systems and digital solutions we make buildings smarter. A smarter building is safer more comfortable more efficient and ultimately more sustainable. As a Supply Planner youll be part of our diverse global team making a significant impact on our organization. You will procure assigned direct materials to meet inventory goals and customer requirements.

How you will do it:

  • Procure materials to meet the goals of JCI regarding inventory turns cost quality and customer requirements.

  • Place and manage purchase orders including any needed expedites/push outs/cancellations to meet customer requirements and inventory goals.

  • Reconcile differences in price quantity or specifications that may develop on invoices to ensure vendor payment in a timely manner.

  • Resolve and/or escalate issues with invoices receiving and supplier performance.

  • Support implementation of supply chain strategies and actions to reduce suppliers standardization and/or demand management.

  • Support cost reduction lead time reduction and supplier consolidation projects.

  • Proactive work with procurement buyers to identify savings/efficiency opportunities.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of key metrics.

  • Meet or exceed annual goals related to CRSD DIOH supplier OTD and cost.

  • Works with and through other functions such as corporate procurement and product management.

  • Performs special projects and ad hoc related duties as assigned.

  • Works with minimal supervision.

What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education or experience.

  • 2 years of experience in planning purchasing or production and inventory control.

  • Advanced English skills.

  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office.

  • Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.

  • Strong analytical data processing and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Bachelors Degree in one of the following: Supply Chain Logistics or Operations Management.

  • Experience in working in a cross-functional team environment

  • Systems/ERP knowledge SAP.

  • Building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders based on trust and confidence.

  • Proven negotiation skills.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of operations forecasting technology systems market research data supply chain management and constraints management.
