Linux administrator

Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Linux Administrator to join our this role you will be responsible for administering and maintaining Linux-based environments ensuring optimal system performance security and stability. You will provide L2 support for server operations manage service requests and perform critical tasks like system patching and troubleshooting. As a Linux Administrator youll be collaborating with team members to resolve issues document configurations and contribute to ongoing improvements.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in system administration with a customer-focused approach.
While not mandatory experience with automation or database management is an added advantage.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Administer maintain and troubleshoot Linux-based environments (Red Hat Oracle Linux).
Provide L2 support for server operations handling incidents and managing service requests.
Perform system patching to ensure security and compliance with industry standards.
Maintain system performance stability and security.
Provide detailed analysis of system defects as and when required.
Handle basic database administration for My SQL.
Document system configurations troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
Work within an Agile framework .

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a production environment.
Expertise in Linux operating systems (Red Hat Oracle Linux).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with My SQL database management for to perform basic commands
Practical experience with scripting languages such as Bash.
Understanding of ITIL frameworks and relevant certifications.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as SaltStack Zabbix for future migration.
Experience managing web services like Apache Tomcat.
Basic knowledge of network protocols (LDAP network setup).
