Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week
Shift times: Primarily Monday Friday 9am 5pm. Some regular evening and weekend hours required for volunteer events.
Location: Hybrid: based at Planned Parenthood Saint Paul (671 Vandalia Street Saint Paul MN 55114) with some remote work and regular travel within Twin Cities MN metro. Limited travel outside of Twin Cities metro area.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Organizing Manager the Senior Organizing Associate has the responsibility of building a network of activists and leaders for the organization in Minnesota. The Senior Organizing Associate is responsible for recruiting new supporters engaging activists developing volunteer leaders and managing youth organizing chapters in Minnesota. The Senior Organizing Associate develops and executes the plan to further the programmatic goals of Planned Parenthood North Central States and the Planned Parenthood Minnesota North Dakota South Dakota Action Fund. This position is based in the Twin Cities and may be hybrid or fully in-person with some remote flexibility but regular in-person work and events required. Senior Organizing Associates are advocates in implementing our mission of advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all. They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree.
- Three years experience in a professional position where the primary responsibilities of your role included issue or legislative advocacy grassroots community organizing or political campaigns.
- Understanding of intersectional nature of social justice and equity interpersonally and systemically
- Commitment to fighting for racial justice and equity interpersonally and systemically.
This position is based in the Twin Cities. Some work for this position can be conducted remotely but it also requires in-person work including events. The position can be fully in-person or hybrid.
- Valid drivers license and a reliable insured vehicle as this position requires driving.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Implement outreach organizing and voter engagement plans in Minnesota.
- Assist in the development and execution of advocacy and electoral strategies to further the campaigns of the organization
- Recruit and engage supporters in grassroots advocacy and organizing including building volunteer leadership
- Hold events in Minnesota to ensure organizing base building advocacy and electoral goals are met. This may include educational events trainings phone banks text banks door knocks actions rallies and community care events.
- Supervise Minnesota youth organizing chapters on high school and college campuses.
- Ensure organizing base building advocacy and electoral goals are met
- Build a program that centers equity racial justice and intersectionality
- Ensure data and reporting requirements are met
Recruitment:
- Recruit new supporters and volunteers
- Assist in development and execution of plans for generating potential new supporters and leaders.
- Create and participate in opportunities to expand our reach meet new potential supporters and generate new leaders
Mobilization:
- Assist in development and execution of advocacy and organizing plans for engaging our supporters in opportunities to advance our programmatic goals.
- Create and manage a consistent event schedule that excites supporters and inspires participation.
- Create and execute plans to mobilize people to vote in elections
- Create relationships with volunteers partner organizations and community leaders.
- Oversee campus chapters and supervise youth leaders
Leadership Development:
- Develop and execute a plan that deepens the engagement of strong supporters and strengthens their commitment to PPNCS and PPMNSAF.
- Identify and train new volunteer leaders to support organizing advocacy and electoral goals.
- Create leadership opportunities for supporters to develop responsibility skill development and ownership of work.
- Partner with volunteer leaders to develop community building and action events with the goal of having volunteer led events
Grassroots Advocacy and Organizing:
- Assist in creation and development of grassroots campaign plans that support PPNCS and PPMNSAFs programmatic goals.
- Engage PPNCS and PPMNSAFs base of supporters in organizing activities including but not limited to 1:1 meetings phone banking canvassing protests rallies and online advocacy.
- In partnership with the communications team develop digital content to engage activists
- Accurately record data to track your work and meet reporting requirements.
- Engage volunteers and supporters in advocacy and electoral initiatives. This may include:
- Issue education
- Legislative engagement
- Candidate education
- Voter engagement and turnout
