As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team you are part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the software components of the firms state-of-the-art technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You execute software solutions through the design development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Manage data integration and data analysis of disparate systems.
- Build extensible data acquisition and integration solutions to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the client.
- Implement processes and logic to extract transform and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources.
- Provide problem-solving expertise and complex analysis of data to develop business intelligence integration designs.
- Interface with other internal product development teams as well as cross-functional teams (Product Management Integration Engineering Quality Engineering System Admin Teams).
- Collaborate with remote and geographically distributed teams to enable building the right products using the right building blocks and making them consumable by other products easily.
- Lead teams with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing at least 5-10 engineers.
- Learn new technologies quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to different audiences demonstrating excellent communication presentation interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Creates a culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experiencein addition demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Demonstrate a minimum of 6 years of experience in data integration projects using Big Data Technologies preferably related to human resources analytics.
- Apply experience in AWS Data Warehousing and database platforms.
- Utilize hands-on experience with a minimum of 5 years on Spark and Scala.
- Develop streaming applications using Kafka with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Implement CICD using Jenkins Git Artifactory Yaml Maven for Cloud deployments.
- Design Java open-source API JUnits Spring Boot applications and Swagger Setup.
- Query Big Data using tools such as Pig Hive and Impala.
- Integrate data from different types of file-storage formats like Parquet ORC Avro Sequence files etc.
- Build scalable high-performance distributed services and systems with strong technical understanding.
- Apply knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Lake concepts.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience working at code level
- Ability to multitask and swiftly transition between different types of issues.
- Passion for learning new technologies and driving innovative solutions.
