Job Summary
Senior Engineering Underwriter Riyadh Saudi Arabia
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a relevant field is required MSc is preferable.
- Professional Qualification e.g. ACII is preferable.
- 7 years of relevant experience in reinsurance/insurance (in a mature market or well-established company)
- Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with regulations.
- Proficiency in underwriting tools exposure rating models and portfolio management systems.
- Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Obtains critical underwriting information and responds within specified time standards.
- Makes the best use of the pricing tools available to take appropriate underwriting decisions.
- Completes review analysis on all new and renewal business.
- Assists in the implementation of underwriting and risk management systems/controls to monitor and evaluates the performance of companys business portfolio and associated risks.
- Develops business from existing clients and seeks new sources in order to meet assigned target.
- Supports the Facultative Underwriting department in updating market and client details to ensure proper client relationship management.
