Job Summary
Job Title: Fitter
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling fitting and maintaining mechanical components and structures in line with technical specifications. This role requires hands-on expertise precision and the ability to work independently as well as in coordination with the team to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and technical instructions.
Assemble fit and install machine parts and structural components according to specifications.
Perform cutting grinding drilling and shaping of metal parts as required.
Conduct inspections to ensure assembled parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Identify and rectify defects misalignments or wear and tear in mechanical parts.
Maintain and repair tools equipment and machines used for fitting tasks.
Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and proper use of PPE.
Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet project deadlines and production goals.
Keep workstations organized clean and compliant with operational protocols.
Essential Qualifications
ITI/Diploma in Fitter Trade or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Proven work experience of 1 to 3 years as a Fitter in a manufacturing/industrial setup.
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
Familiarity with tools equipment and measuring instruments used in fitting work.
Skills Required
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
Hands-on skills in fabrication assembly and maintenance tasks.
Good understanding of welding drilling and cutting processes.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers micrometers and gauges.
Problem-solving skills to identify and fix fitting or alignment issues.
Good physical stamina and ability to handle manual labor in an industrial environment.
Teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
