Job Summary
Physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats physical conditions injuries and disabilities to improve patient mobility alleviate pain and enhance overall quality of life through tailored exercise programs manual therapy and patient education. Key duties include developing and implementing treatment plans providing physical interventions like massage and stretching educating patients and caregivers maintaining detailed records and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis:
Evaluate patients physical condition movements and functions to identify problems pain and limitations.
Treatment Planning:
Develop personalized rehabilitation plans to restore function improve mobility and manage chronic conditions.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Administer treatments such as exercises massage joint manipulation stretching and ultrasound therapy.
Patient Education:
Advise patients and their caregivers on techniques to prevent injury manage conditions and maintain healthy lifestyles.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and confidential records of treatments patient progress and statistical data.
Collaboration:
Work effectively in teams with other healthcare providers including doctors nurses and social workers.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on the latest advancements and professional practices in physiotherapy.
Skills and Qualifications
An approved physiotherapy degree is required.
Deep knowledge of human anatomy and body mechanics is essential.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess conditions and formulate effective treatments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with colleagues.
