Be it fresh meat crafted by our master butchers (such as McIntosh Donald and St. Merryn) or our famous brands (such as Rustlers Big Als and John Stone) we offer a total foodservice solution with the premium quality our customers demand.

Kepak Mclntosh Donald are looking for a Meat Market Operative to join our team on full-time basis.

Working Pattern: 40h/week Monday to Friday 6am (need to be flexible with finish time)

Role Purpose

Responsible for stock movement and rotation of red meat for sale and consumption in accordance with client specifications and Company SOPs.



Requirements
  • Unload product from chills moving to designated location
  • Handling product with care and consideration to maintaining quality and yields of meat
  • Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet daily targets
  • Minimise and manage waste effectively/as instructed
  • Ensure product is of the highest standard reporting any issues to the Line supervisor immediately
  • Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the meat market complete checks and ensuring materials are ready to use
  • Perform all prestart hygiene and safety checks as instructed
  • Maintaining good understanding and knowledge of customer specifications and yields
  • Complying with Companys health and safety rules including hygiene requirements
  • Report all breakages damages or defaults of equipment immediately to Line Supervisor only using equipment when safe to do so
  • Reporting any accidents or near misses assisting with investigations as instructed/necessary
  • Minimising and reporting of waste appropriately
  • Maintaining and securely storing tools and equipment
  • Actively participate in all required company training
  • Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.

  • Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to change and production demands.
