Evenings/Nights (United States of America)The non-registered polysomnography technologists primary function is to provide overall consistent workflow in the sleep center. This staff member responsibilities include: scheduling data management computer data entry insurance verification in lab sleep studies home sleep testing cardiac monitoring and miscellaneous duties in conjunction with the registered polysomnography technologist.
Patient Population

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his or her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.
Neonates (0-4 weeks)
Adolescents (13-17 years)
Infant (1-12 months)
Adults (18-64 years).
Pediatrics (1-12 years)
Geriatrics (65 years and older)

Employment Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
2 Year/ Associates Degree
Specialty/Major
Associates degree in healthcare field
Licensing/ Certification:
Basic Life Support
Licensure/Certification Preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
Minimum 1 year of sleep testing experience recommended
Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
Minimum of 1 year experience in a Healthcare field Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities Preferred
Good communication skills and ability to care for others Preferred
Combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.
