Job Summary

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate both the scheduled overhaul and unscheduled maintenance activities for the components / equipment of passenger trains according to the maintenance manual instructions and schedule
Prepare budget for maintenance activities and improvement works
Lead a team and ensure the team are working to the updated maintenance procedures technical instructions and standards as well as environmental and safety regulations by performing regular technical and environmental audit and to monitor the maintenance work
Ensure availability of maintenance spare and tools & equipment by monitoring and reviewing the material consumption and operating condition
Ensure work safety of staff by organising the workplace provision of personal protective equipment compliance with statutory regulation and conducting regular inspection
Initiate and implement shop-floor work improvement through participating in work process review
Ensure the competence of maintenance staff by arranging on-the-job training to subordinates according to the competence requirements to perform the maintenance tasks
Manage performance of subordinates to ensure their discipline quality and quantity of work
Supervise modification test/trials contractor works and Safety Independent Check according to the instructions and requirements as stated in the Work Instruction and the relevant engineering documents / instructions for improving service performance

Requirements

Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 6 years relevant experience of which 2 years should be at supervisory level

Remarks

Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
