The AR Analyst will provide accounting services in the areas of receiving and processing cash items petty cash and change funds. This position serves as a liaison between the department students and 3rd party vendors.

Essential duties:

Process student payments collect money due and record to student accounts.
Handle student account inquiries provide customer service for student and other related inquiries.
Provide timely and accurate response to student emails and phone calls.
Address student questions and concerns in a polite and confident manner especially where deadlines and policies are concerned.
Process and record accounts receivable payments.
Balance daily cash transactions and prepare bank deposits.
Verify and process interdepartmental deposits from all auxiliary units cost centers and departments.
Maintain petty cash and change funds as assigned verifying daily.
Maintain accounts receivable billing returned checks and installment payment files.
Process student tuition refund requests.
Serve as back-up for 3rd party invoicing.
Perform collection account review and assist with collection placement with outside agencies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; associates degree in business preferred

Candidates must have:

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Conscientiousness with the ability to follow through on a myriad of details daily
Initiative with minimal direction
Ability to address multiple tasks during periods of high volume with grace tact and humor
