Summary Objective
This administrative classification requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a moderate level of complexity in preparing coordinating implementing overseeing and monitoring a wide range of procurement-related documents for the City of Riviera Beach. These include procurement contracts and agreements professional and technical service agreements memoranda of understanding and other related materials ranging from routine to highly complex. Work involves modifying and monitoring contract processing procedures and activities; reviewing contract requests and proposals and serving as a liaison between the Purchasing Department other city departments and contract providers during the contract approval process. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief Purchasing Officer.
This administrative classification exercises a considerable e degree of independent judgment and is expected to make independent decisions in conformance with applicable laws rules and regulations governing the contract administration and the grants management of the City and must work effectively with City personnel officials and the public.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Procurement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (BA) from an accredited college or university with major study in Business Administration Public Administration Finance Business Law or a closely related field supplemented by three (3) years experience in contract administration business administration procurement or purchasing of goods and services or administration contracts preferably in local government agency are required.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida drivers license.
