THE ROLE
Pure Storage is hiring a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join our Global Supply Chain this hands-on role youll design and build test solutions that directly impact the speed and reliability of bringing products from prototype to production. Youll work across the full stack writing Python automation building web dashboards and debugging hardware in the lab.
This is a unique opportunity to launch your career as a full-stack developer with a hardware and software focus. Youll see the direct impact of your work in the lab and on the manufacturing floor learning how products are tested validated and shipped at scale. Youll also help shape the tools that make it all possible.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Develop and maintain full-stack test applications (Python backends databases and web dashboards).
- Build automation frameworks that interact with hardware and production systems.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to integrate diagnostics into test flows.
- Debug test failures at the hardware/software boundary.
- Deliver reliable scalable and production-ready test software.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering operations and contract manufacturers.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python with a focus on clean maintainable modular code.
- 5 years of experience in full-stack developmentbackend frameworks (Flask Django ) and modern frontend frameworks (React Angular Vue).
- Understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and schema design.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills including comfort working with hardware/software interactions.
- Experience in a manufacturing test or hardware/software integration environment.
- Exposure to hardware test instrumentation (oscilloscopes JTAG serial interfaces).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based services.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara CA office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:
$145000 - $218000 USD
