Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedIT Business Analyst Global Trade to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing designing and implementing IT solutions that support global trade operations. This position requires a strong understanding of global trade processes IT systems and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions that align with business objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with global trade teams IT teams and external partners to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze current processes and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Design IT solutions to support global trade operations including customs compliance import/export processes and trade finance.
- Ensure solutions align with business goals regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Assist in the planning execution and delivery of IT projects related to global trade.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Facilitate workshops meetings and discussions to gather input and validate solutions.
- Ensure IT solutions comply with international trade regulations and standards.
- Identify potential risks and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure IT solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve issues as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
- Create detailed documentation including business requirements process flows and user guides.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management on project status risks and issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 10years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in Business Analyst preferably in global trade or supply chain operations.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience working with ERP systems and global trade management software.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with global trade systems such as Descartes OCR EASE or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of data analysis reporting tools and process modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of international trade regulations customs compliance and import/export processes.
- PMP CBAP ITIL or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with trade finance supply chain operations and logistics processes.
- Experience with data integration APIs and system interfaces.
- Knowledge of automation tools and technologies.
