The State College Area School District is currently accepting applications for a Supervisorfor the High School Food Court and Kitchen. This position supervises 30 employees to operate a dynamic high quality school meals program.
The ideal candidate willbe knowledgeable in basic nutrition and committed to student wellness. Must be knowledgeable of or capable of learning USDA goals and regulations and be able to operate program in compliance with those regulations. Must be able to communicate with personnel to maintain standards and a harmonious work environment. Will displaya common-sense direct and engaged approach to problem solving. Must know and follow safe food handling procedures and HACCP principals. Must maintain ServSafe Certification. Must be customer service oriented and have a caring and pleasant personality. Must have the capacity to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations. Must be at ease with email internet word processing spreadsheet and graphics applications. Must be neat in appearance.
Job requires employee to be standing or walking 5-6 hours per day. Work requires twisting pushing and pulling. Regular lifting of 10-30 lbs. required; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Working in wet hot or cold conditions arecommon.
Candidate must have 5 years supervisory experience in food services restaurants or related industries.
This position works 8 hours per day 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 200 days per year. Minimum $26.00 per hour commensurate with education and experience. Benefits eligible.
