We are currently seeking skilled Marine Insulators for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.
Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.
Overview:
Apply remove and repair insulation and lagging on piping machinery and shipboard structures.
Responsibilities:
- Install thermal sound and protective insulation materials.
- Shape and secure insulation around pipes valves and fittings.
- Remove and dispose of old insulation safely.
- Follow OSHA and shipyard safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance .
- 4 years of insulation/lagging experience with at least 2 years on Navy ships.
- Knowledge of insulation materials and installation techniques.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to work 1st 2nd and 3rd shift.
