Leads and supervises daily warehouse operations at the Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) ensuring accurate receipt storage issue and accountability of Army clothing and individual equipment (CIE). Maintains compliance with Army property accountability procedures safety standards and customer service goals. Optimizes workflow trains personnel and supports continuous improvement initiatives to sustain readiness and accountability.


Responsibilities

Lead and supervise CIIP warehouse staff (e.g. 412 soldiers/civilians) in daily operations including inbound receipts storage issue and outbound shipments of clothing items and CIE.
Ensure accurate property accountability in the Army Warehouse Management System (or equivalent) and proper documentation of transactions (receipts issues transfers adjustments).
Plan prioritize and coordinate CIIP workflow to meet mission-driven timelines; monitor throughput takt time and backlog to prevent delays.
Conduct regular cycle counts and semi-annual inventories; lead reconciliation efforts and adjust records as needed.
Verify item quality and condition upon receipt and issue; coordinate repairs replacements or disposition as required.
Oversee stock rotation storage layout and space utilization; ensure proper labeling lot/batch tracking and traceability of clothing items.
Enforce safety security and compliance with Army regulations (AR 710-1 and related property accountability policies; PPE and hazardous material handling if applicable).
Provide on-the-job training and formal instruction on CIIP processes property accountability and customer service standards.
Handle customer inquiries issue clothing items to authorized personnel and resolve discrepancies or shortages promptly.
Generate and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) work instructions and performance metrics; implement process improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
Prepare and present performance reports inventory status and incident reports to leadership.
Coordinate with Logistics Supply QA and maintenance sections to ensure seamless operations and support for readiness.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of CIIP warehouse personnel; assign tasks monitor performance conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
Mentor junior staff on CIIP procedures safety and customer service.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED; post-secondary training in supply chain logistics or warehouse management preferred.
Experience: 24 years in Army supply/warehouse operations or equivalent civilian logistics environment; prior CIIP or clothing issue experience highly desirable.
Certifications: Forklift/ warehouse equipment certification as required; Army Safety and Security training; property accountability certification preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Army clothing and equipment cataloging and standard issue procedures.
Proficiency with property accountability systems (e.g. APBS/GCSS-Army) and basic IT literacy.
Inventory management cycle counting and reconciliation skills.
Leadership and supervisory capabilities; ability to train and develop staff.
Attention to detail accuracy and strong problem-solving abilities.
Customer service orientation and conflict resolution skills.
Basic math data entry and reporting skills.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift move and handle clothing and equipment as needed; capable of prolonged standing walking and bending; compliance with Army fitness standards.
Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation and obtain and maintain a CAC.
Valid Drivers License.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Moderate to heavy physical activity; occasional lifting up to 4070 pounds; occasional shift-work to cover peak periods.
Warehouse environment with standard safety requirements; exposure to varying temperatures; use of PPE as required.
