Job Summary

We are currently seeking skilled Marine Pipefitters for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

Overview:

Install modify and repair shipboard piping systems for U.S. Navy vessels.

Responsibilities:

Fit install and repair piping for steam water gas and oil systems.
Perform hydrostatic and operational pressure testing.
Interpret piping diagrams and technical drawings.
Work in confined spaces and shipboard environments.

Set up temporary water air and steam piping.
Connect and test temporary service lines.
Maintain and repair systems as needed.
Work in shipyard and confined spaces.

Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret clearance .
4 years of pipefitting experience with at least 2 years on Navy ships.
Completion of a formal trade training program (trade school military training apprenticeship or equivalent) .
Strong knowledge of shipboard piping standards OR knowledge of temporary piping systems.
Ability to work 1st 2nd and 3rd shift.
