Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Part-Time Print Services Technician.
The Print Services Technician supports the Districts print design and mail services. This role partners closely with instructional staff to prepare and distribute curriculum and communication materials in digital or physical formats. Responsibilities include fulfilling print and mail orders performing basic graphic design tasks operating a variety of print shop equipment assisting with digital order systems and providing training and customer support. The position requires working efficiently under high-volume deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Content & Design Services
- Collaborates with the Instruction Department to identify prepare and distribute curriculum and instructional materials.
- Creates and fulfills custom print orders offering cost estimates formatting support and managing print timelines.
- Produces or replicates a wide range of materials such as educational packets newsletters signs presentations publications business cards letterhead and wide-format prints.
- Provides basic graphic design services and formatting adjustments to ensure documents are print-ready.
Print Shop Operations
- Operates all print shop equipment including high-speed copiers laminators paper cutters collators joggers and postage meters.
- Processes and tracks print jobs using District software systems (e.g. Print Shop Pro) with speed and accuracy.
- Maintains and updates the Print Shop WEB Store archive for fast access to commonly used documents.
- Tracks and maintains print shop inventory; enters requisitions for paper supplies and materials as needed.
- Maintains print and copy logs records and appropriate documentation of services.
- Opens and closes the print shop as needed to ensure security and preparedness.
Mailing & Distribution Services
- Sorts prepares and delivers outgoing bulk mail ensuring compliance with USPS and nonprofit regulations.
- Assists with preparation of mailing lists using Accuzip supports mail merge projects and ensures accuracy of bulk mailings.
- Develops and implements a form numbering system to manage and track frequently used or updated documents.
- Assists with receiving and sorting incoming mail for internal distribution.
Training & Customer Service
- Assists in training staff on electronic print submission processes and the WEB Store; develops supporting materials.
- Assists in training and providing direction to student workers in the proper and safe use of equipment.
- Responds to phone inquiries and provides customer support regarding print services and print services equipment.
Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements for Initial Consideration
The following are minimum requirements to be hired or to transfer into this position:
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED);
- Six (6) months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eventual Requirements of Incumbents
The following are not required before hire or transfer but will be required once placed in the position:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid First Aid/CPR card and Oregon Drivers License.
- Completion of SafeSchools training modules as assigned.
