Job Summary
Trauma Surgeon Opening at State Level III Program
We are looking for an experienced Trauma Surgeon to help expand this State Level III trauma center in Virginia. With over 17 years experience in trauma management Extant Healthcare was founded and is still led by trauma surgeons.
Bon Secours- Southside Medical Center is a 300-bed facility located on a 50-acre campus with nearly 400 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. We are a center for both learning and practicing innovative medicine with three professional schools on our campus. Our facility services the communities of Petersburg Hopewell Colonial Heights Fort Lee and Chester as well as the counties of Prince George Dinwiddie Sussex Surry and Southern Chesterfield.
Trauma Surgeon Criteria:
- Board General Surgery with Trauma/ Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Required
- 24-hour call from home (12/ shifts per month)

- Known for their breathtaking sunsets from the shores of the Appomattox or James Rivers Peterburg offers local vineyards breweries and a variety of local dining experiences.
- Riverside Park is a popular destination for hiking (3 miles of Canal trail) bird watching canoeing kayaking and whitewater rafting. There is a fishing pier natural shoreline play equipment for children and a picnic shelter.
