This hybrid role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities

As an economist you will deliver real-world solutions across a wide range of public and private engagements including:

Conducting economic assessments and modelling on the pressing issues facing businesses and government in Australia and around the world.
Performing cutting-edge economic appraisals including cost-benefit analysis and economic impact assessments to guide decision making.
Providing policy strategic and regulatory advice in key areas of the economy like energy resources trade tax human services and the environment.
Liaising with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.

You will also support growth of the business by helping to develop new services adopting new technology and analytical capabilities and activating ideas to help our clients succeed in a dynamic economy.

Skills and attributes for success

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline with over 1-3 years of experience.
Proven experience in client-facing roles with excellent report writing communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to research issues and provide advice on policy program guidelines market trends and industry practices.
Experience in economic and policy analysis economic impact studies econometrics cost-benefit analysis and regulatory analysis.
