What Youll Be Doing

CIBCs Information Security Awareness and Training team is hiring a Graphic Designer and Animator this role youll be part of a high-performing team of business and communications experts who collaborate to build a robust security culture for our business partners through inclusive and creative employee communications and engagement strategies. Join our team and stretch your innovative thinking communications and design skills to help enhance banking for the modern world. Important Information

  • We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation coding French proficiency MS Office). Our goal for the application process is to get to know more about you all that you have to offer and give you the opportunity to learn more about us.

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

  • Recruitment timeline: Applications review September/ October; Interviews September/ October; Offers October / November

  • We are also looking forward to seeing your portfolio. Please share on your resume a link to your design portfolio and/or attached work samples.

  • We are open to applicants who are eligible for 4 or 8 month co-op terms.

How Youll Succeed

  • Strong design and video editing skills. You will help to educate employees about cybersecurity risks and best practices by creating rich media (e.g. graphic design videos) to be used in engaging social media posts intranet materials and training content (e.g. presentations). You should be familiar with design/video software like Adobe Illustrator Adobe Rush Microsoft PowerPoint Canva and other video/animation tools.

  • Planning employee communications and events. You will be involved with planning and execution of communication materials security awareness training and employee engagement initiatives (e.g. Cybersecurity Awareness Month).

  • Leveraging creativity. Youll use your creative thinking skills to develop innovative and new solutions to engage CIBC employees via our Information Security Awareness and Training Program.
