For a complete definition of U.S. Person go here: Clearance: None/Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking a manufacturing engineer intern who can creatively apply engineering knowledge to efficiently solve complex manufacturing problems and make sound and rationale data oriented technical conclusions for the manufacture of electrical/mechanical pressure sensing devices. You will interface with other manufacturing engineers production leaders maintenance purchasing quality production operators design engineers and program management. The challenges and opportunities are unlimited for this position. This is an onsite role that will put you right were the action is!
What You Will Do:
- Maintain production documentation on each process including manufacturing documents and production process routings.
- Develop and implement cost savings projects new technology new materials new products and processes.
- Reduce scrap rework and repair.
- Become proficient identifying common defects and issues for assigned processes and learn the proper mitigations for those defects and issues.
- Provide recommendations on process efficiency safety production flow and sequencing of operations
What You Will Learn:
- Learn the operation and programming of all assigned equipment.
- Become proficient on manufacturing software such as SAP and Creo.
- Learn to use the appropriate metrology tools required by assigned processes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: We Prefer:
- Proficient in Solid Works or Creo
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Ability to design and analyze experiments

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
