Financial Controller (West -Rand)
The opportunity that awaits you:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Financial Controller to join the Finance team of a leading global manufacturer. This role offers the chance to make a real impact at plant level by ensuring accurate financial reporting driving cost-efficiency initiatives and supporting continuous improvement.
Youll work closely with the Finance Manager and leadership team acting as a key partner in business decision-making while ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and company policies.
Your key responsibilities:
- Management accounting
- Prepare accurate monthly quarterly and yearly financial and management reports in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Conduct reviews evaluations and propose cost-reduction strategies to improve plant efficiency.
- Lead monthly and annual financial closures ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and report plant performance against budgets and forecasts highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to other departments to support operational decision-making.
- Support and guide finance personnel fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Drive implementation of corporate financial policies and contribute to process enhancements across the plant.
Our required expertise:
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (or currently studying towards a degree).
- At least 5 years experience in a similar controlling role within a multinational environment.
- Manufacturing FMCG or Mining industry experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of finance accounting budgeting and cost control principles.
- Proficiency with financial reporting systems; SAP experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with a process-oriented mindset.
- Experience in the automotive sector is a strong plus.
