Compensation Range: $23.80 - 31.73/HR
Shift: 2nd Shift - 4:00pm 12:00pm (Mon Fri)
Shift Differential: 10%

A Day in the Life:

  • Perform fit-for-purpose testing following operating procedures in support of manufacturing including in-line and finished product release testing using various analytical techniques.
  • Perform daily calibrations for equipment and perform standardization of reagents.
  • Perform sampling managing retentions reagents and standards. The position requires the ability to handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Create and receive requisitions/purchase orders.
  • Receive label and store chemicals reagents and lab supplies.
  • Coordinate External lab testing by preparing samples and following the submission process.
  • Apply your knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Processes focusing on supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain general lab housekeeping.
  • Additional Tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

How will you get here

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelors degree Preferred) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year (2 years preferred) of industry or other relevant market experience preferably in chemistry or bio/pharmaceutical industry.

Hands-on experience with wet chemistry and basic Analytical instruments is preferred.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

Familiarity with Analytical test methods including ACS USP/NF EP/BP JP FCC preferred.

Strong computer scientific and organizational skills.

Excellent communication (oral and written) with attention to detail including problem-solving

  • Hands-on experience using Excel Word & Outlook. Familiarity with Access and database.

Engage in process improvement initiatives to identify cost savings to the business.
