Were seeking a passionate proactive and highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team. This is a key role in driving growth fostering client relationships and creating new opportunities for CDO Group.

Position Summary:

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and generating new business opportunities. This role requires a blend of strategic planning relationship management and daily outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target multi-unit retailers developers and brands that align with CDO Groups expertise.
  • Build nurture and maintain strong relationships with clients decision-makers and industry influencers.
  • Research and develop a pipeline of qualified leads using CRM systems social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn) and networking events.
  • Schedule and conduct discovery/sales calls with prospects.
  • Create and implement tailored sales strategies to meet client needs and achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop presentations proposals and promotional materials.
  • Attend industry events trade shows and conventions (e.g. ICSC) to represent CDO Group build brand visibility and connect with potential clients.
  • Establish partnerships with architects developers and other stakeholders in the construction ecosystem.
  • Stay informed about industry trends competitors and client needs to adapt sales strategies effectively.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on market opportunities and challenges.
  • Work closely with internal teams including project management and estimating to align client needs with company capabilities.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities in the CRM system and prepare regular sales activity and pipeline reports.

Daily Activities:

  • Make at least 20-30 daily calls/emails to new prospects.
  • Follow up on warm leads and past inquiries.
  • Schedule and conduct virtual or in-person client meetings.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients.
  • Research potential leads and market trends.
  • Engage on platforms like LinkedIn to identify opportunities.
  • Prepare customized pitches presentations and proposals.
  • Align with internal teams to address client-specific needs.
  • Update and manage lead information in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and share daily/weekly progress reports with leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in enterprise business development sales or a related role preferably in the construction or real estate industries.
  • Exceptional communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (Hubspot) Microsoft Office Suite and online research tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for meetings and industry events.
