Loan Servicing Specialist

Oakworth Capital Bank has an excellent opportunity for someone to join our team in Birmingham AL! We are looking for a full-time Loan Servicing Specialist that will play a vital role in supporting our current & future clients. Summary:

Responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the banks loan portfolio after funding. This role ensures accurate processing of payments account updates collateral management and compliance with regulatory and internal policies. This role would provide support to Client Advisors and Loan Operations Associates to ensure smooth and efficient servicing through the life of the loan.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review daily weekly and monthly loan reports for accuracy exception tracking and compliance monitoring. Identify operational trends. Track collateral perfections lien releases and insurance requirements.
• Track and process payments to and from participating banks and syndicated loans.
• Ensure maintenance research payoff transactions and exception clearing is handled in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with internal and external audits and examinations.
• Collaborate with Client Advisors Credit and Operations teams to resolve issues.

Responsibility Details:

• Administer purchased and sold participation and syndicated loans including balancing incoming/outgoing payments interest allocations and principal reductions. Serve as the main point of contact for participant banks regarding payment inquiries or servicing matters.
• Track collateral documents UCC filing and lien releases to ensure proper perfection and release at payoff.
• Review and clear loan exceptions; ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
• Assist with data gathering and responses for internal audits external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Partner with operations finance credit and compliance teams to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within loan servicing and recommend solutions.
• Support any other loan operations duties as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associates degree (A A.) or equivalent preferred.
• 5 years or more of banking experience preferred.
