Job Summary

The Company:Our client Butler Automatic is the inventor of automatic splicing and the largest global manufacturer of automatic web splicing equipment for food pharmaceutical printing and consumer packaged goods markets. The Companys splicers are used to manufacture many different products including stand-up pouches flexible pouches film bags paper bags business forms envelopes disposable diapers wallpaper fiberglass insulation and corrugated cardboard.

The Role: Our client Butler Automatic is seeking a Control Panel Technician. The Control Panel Technician will be responsible for the building and wiring of all electro/mechanical products needed to meet our customers requirements. This includes panel layout and wiring electro-mechanical assemblies and machine wiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Layout and build electrical panels from schematics/method sheets
  • Integrate completed panels into splicing machines from schematics
  • Perform duties utilizing a variety of hand/power tools including: screw drivers wrenches drills hammers tape measures crimpers strippers
  • Complete terminal block layouts
  • Accurately complete job logging through Epicor to account for assembly times
  • Verify that parts are free of flaws defects or imperfections and properly write up parts that do not meet specifications
  • Cross train in other areas as necessary to keep production running
  • Maintain proper certifications such as crane forklift lockout/tagout IPC
  • Present high standards of quality and safety at all times

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in control panel assembly
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior education or training in electrical assembly
  • Able to read and work from drawings schematics and verbal instructions
  • Knowledge and experience with basic electrical test instruments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Capable of lifting 35 pounds
  • Capable of standing on feet for an entire workday
  • Able to climb and work from ladders
  • Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safe working habits

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is between $25.00 and $40.00. Rate will be determined based on experience education and other factors.
