Job Summary

Seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Southbridge MA.

This position offers full benefits including PTO Medical Dental and 401k!

Pay is between $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to machine failures breakdowns installations and facility maintenance needs.
Troubleshoot repair and rebuild major production equipment.
Service overhaul and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Maintain a safe organized and professional work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and protocols.

Qualifications:

Trade school or equivalent technical training preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a related maintenance role preferred.
Fabricating welding sheet metal and pipe fitting experience required.
Basic knowledge of mechanical pneumatic electrical and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic mathematics.
Must own a personal set of tools.
Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability to evolving situations.
Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training provided if needed.
Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing machinery.
Skilled in safe operation of hand and power tools.
Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic.
Fluent in English (reading writing and speaking).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods stoop and bend.
Lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
Good manual dexterity.
Vision of 20/40 or better (with corrective lenses if necessary).
Comfortable working from ladders.
Must be able to wear eye and hearing protection.
