Job Summary

Team Red Dog is looking for an experienced Software Design Engineer in Test 3 (Redmond Area) to join our global technology clients team working on cutting-edge server hardware technologies. This contract role is a unique opportunity to contribute to hardware and software development projects deployed across the Azure fleet. If you have expertise in data center/server hardware testing development with C and Python and a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines this role offers the chance to collaborate with highly skilled professionals while advancing your technical expertise.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

5 years of experience testing data center/server hardware including diagnostics troubleshooting and test execution.
5 years of development experience with C and Python to design and implement test solutions.
5 years of experience with CI/CD processes and ADO pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
Strong understanding of server environments including Windows Server and Ubuntu Server.

Opportunity Overview:
This role provides the chance to work on advanced server hardware and intellectual property within the Azure fleet. Youll gain exposure to large-scale cloud services collaborate with experts in open-source and proprietary technologies and directly contribute to innovation in one of the largest cloud service providers.

How you will make an impact:
Configure deploy and manage test machines across Windows and Ubuntu server environments.
Design develop and execute test plans and automated test harnesses.
Perform detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting on hardware systems.
Collaborate closely with developers to refine system functionality and testing strategies.
Produce comprehensive reports and ensure deadlines are met with high-quality deliverables.
Contribute to code reviews and open-source project development.

The expertise you bring:
510 years of professional experience in hardware testing and development.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
Proficiency in C and Python with additional scripting language knowledge (Rust experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines ADO and test automation.
Solid understanding of server environments (Azure Windows Linux/Ubuntu).
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and software development lifecycle.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
