Job Summary

Are you passionate about building a high-performing team to support clients experiencing homelessness

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join the Hammersmith & Fulham Supported Accommodation Pathway. The pathway consists of supported accommodation for 129 clients across seven sites including 24-hour staffed complex needs hostels and semi-independent services.

In the role of Deputy Manager you will support the Service Manager at The Coninghams which is a 24/7 complex needs hostel with 31 residents. We work with some of the most vulnerable clients in the borough using psychological and trauma-informed methods.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of staff and services that are focused on recovery working towards our clients moving forward into independent living and achieving their goals. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the team in the day-to-day development and management of the service.
  • Ensure residents have a safe welcoming home with staff who work in a caring flexible and approachable way.
  • Line manage staff providing motivation and supervision to deliver high-quality recovery-focused person-centred support.
  • Foster a team culture that involves residents in St Mungos projects and local community activities.
  • Work standard office hours (MonFri) with flexibility to meet service needs outside these times.

About you

To thrive in this role you must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the housing and support needs of people experiencing homelessness.

  • Previous line management experience isnt required but youll have experience motivating staff or volunteers to deliver high-quality support.
  • Youll contribute to and draw strength from a supportive experienced team.
  • Youre a proactive problem solver who seeks support when needed.
  • Youll help the service manager lead with a positive culture and uphold high standards for staff and clients.
  • Youll collaborate across teams services and stakeholders to achieve strong outcomes.
  • Youll maintain a recovery-focused trauma-informed approach keeping clients at the centre of everything we do.
