Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Obstetrics Hospitalist Physician

Join a dynamic team in Fresno California at a supportive Level 2 NICU hospital. This facility is dedicated to providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care utilizing advanced EPIC electronic medical records. Be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional patient outcomes while delivering high-quality obstetrical care.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide expert inpatient obstetrical care in a busy hospital setting.
Care for approximately 13-14 patients daily in inpatient outpatient rounds and clinic settings.
Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for patient documentation and care management.
Work a schedule of five to six 24-hour shifts per month from 7 AM to 7 AM.
Participate in weekend shifts with the same schedule as weekdays.
Handle an average of 4-5 deliveries per 24-hour period primarily vaginal deliveries with 25% C-sections.
No on-call responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with facility requirements including COVID-19 vaccination.
Complete initial and secondary interviews virtually using platforms such as Teams or Zoom.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
1-5 years of relevant practice experience preferred but not required.
Delivery experience is a must.
Active California medical license or application in progress.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications.

License and Certification Requirements:

Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology - Required.
BLS ACLS and DEA certification before starting - Required.
Active California medical license or application in progress - Required.
COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory - Required.
