Nuclear Medicine Technologist 1.0 FTE

Days with Varied Rotating 8-hour Shifts

This is a MAST Union position

This position has a $7500 sign on bonus- based on eligibility criteria.

Position Summary:

Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders.

Reports to: Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.

Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.

Provides images data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.

Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.

Processes the images for radiologist review.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education
Graduated from AMA approved Nuclear Medicine program
Associates degree (Preferred)

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist- Nuclear (ARRT-N)
