Associate or Experienced Quality Engineer (Engineer Process - Quality)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) Quality Engineer (Engineer Process - Quality) to join our team located in Portland OR.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Develops sections of quality metrics design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports production with problem solving.
  • Provides technical support to assembly and manufacturing.
  • Interprets drawing specifications and design requirements.
  • Selects new inspections technologies.
  • Implements measurement system analysis and process capabiality 3 analysis
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Level 2: 2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level 3: 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering related field.
  • Knowledge of machining processes.
  • Experience in Heat treatment assembly and machining.
  • Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
  • Familiar with drawing/data systems and configuration management principles and processes.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Design engineering experience background is a plus.

  • Associate (Level 2): $78200 - $105800
  • Experienced (Level 3): $94350 - $127650
