Senior Planner
Job Summary:
Perform environmental planning and fieldwork ensuring compliance with federal state and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct literature research and record searches.

Complete biological field surveys and prepare associated reports.

Monitor construction work to ensure compliance with environmental design specifications and permit conditions.
-
Assist in the development or writing of technical reports and environmental documents in compliance with NEPA including biological resources aquatic resources and site stabilization/revegetation planning.

Collaborate with other disciplines clients regulatory authorities and subconsultants through in-person and virtual meetings.
-
Prepare regulatory permit applications and assist in securing environmental permits.
-
Support general environmental planning tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor of Science in Biology Ecology or a related field.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant fieldwork.

Working knowledge of federal and state environmental laws (e.g. Endangered Species Act Clean Water Act NEPA NDEP).
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently collaboratively and meet critical deadlines.
-
Capability to manage multiple competing tasks simultaneously.
-
Strong organization time management skills and attention to detail.
-
Ability to physically perform fieldwork in various conditions including extreme temperatures and remote locations.
-
Valid drivers license and good driving record.
-
Experience with GPS/GIS applications.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Excellent analytical writing and communication skills.
