The Role

VIKTech is seeking a Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to support mission-critical operations in Tampa FL. This is an on-site position due to the classified nature of the workremote or telecommuting options are not available.

You will play a key role in designing implementing and maintaining enterprise-level cyber solutions that ensure security performance and reliability across multiple environments.

What Youll Do

• Engineer enterprise solutions that align with best practices to support mission objectives.

• Participate in design sessions and regular project status meetings.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges.

• Manage 13 mid- to large-scale projects concurrently.

• Provide clear communication across stakeholders end users and leadership.

• Research and recommend COTS technologies to integrate with existing infrastructure.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree 6 years of experience OR Bachelors degree 8 years OR Associates 10 years OR High School 12 years of IT experience.

• U.S. Citizenship.

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (e.g. Security CE).

• Strong experience with:

  • Designing deploying and managing virtualized environments.

  • Automation using scripting or orchestration tools.

  • Windows enterprise architecture (AD DHCP DNS GPOs Exchange SQL MECM WSUS).

  • Linux environments (RHEL Satellite Server Ansible).

  • NetApp (or similar) for storage provisioning backup and recovery.

  • Cisco and/or VMware NSX technologies routing firewalls and network micro-segmentation.

  • Creating technical documentation and Visio diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools (Jira Confluence Bitbucket Bamboo).

• Virtual Desktop Environment technologies (Horizon Dell Wyse Teradici).

• Monitoring tools (ELK SolarWinds VMware Aria).

• Backup and recovery tools (VEEAM).

• Security hardening and role-based access control.

• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell Python Bash or YAML (via Ansible).
