Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Process Modeler (BPM) Expert to join a long-term financial services project in Jersey City NJ. The role focuses on analyzing modeling and re-engineering business processes to support regulatory corporate technology and market surveillance initiatives. The BPM Expert will work with business operations product owners architects and technology teams to document current and future state processes identify improvement opportunities and ensure alignment with enterprise standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep BPM expertise financial services experience and strong stakeholder management skills while leveraging BPM tools (Signavio preferred) to drive business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Capture analyze and model current and target state business processes using BPM tools (e.g. Signavio Visio).
  • Re-engineer and redesign workflows to improve efficiency compliance and scalability.
  • Partner with SMEs product owners technology heads and risk/compliance leaders to define and validate requirements.
  • Translate process models into functional and technical requirements for development teams.
  • Build and maintain an enterprise process architecture asset for reusability across projects.
  • Develop and enforce process modeling standards and conduct peer reviews for quality assurance.
  • Align process design with SDLC methodologies (Agile Waterfall) and tools (JIRA Confluence).
  • Support product owners design leads and operations teams in delivering business change initiatives.
  • Communicate complex business and technical processes effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive sign-offs and influence decisions with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide program/project management coordination for process-related deliverables.
  • Ensure integration of process models with business rules information models and technical designs.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5 years of experience in business process modeling and design.
  • Proven expertise in process re-engineering process mining and workflow redesign.
  • Strong knowledge of BPMN notation and BPM tools (Signavio preferred).
  • Experience in financial services (corporate tech regulatory tech market surveillance).
  • Familiarity with PMO processes and project management principles (Prince2 preferred).
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel Visio MS Project).
  • Exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines prioritize effectively and drive outcomes.
  • Experience presenting complex information to senior leadership in a clear concise manner.
  • Understanding of technology environments and digital operating models (preferred).
