Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Financial Systems Analyst (FSA) supports the Business Services division under the Chief Financial Officer by bridging the gap between technology and business processes. This role involves developing and maintaining financial systems assisting users analyzing existing processes and implementing solutions within financial software platforms. The FSA is a strategic partner for teams including Financial Planning and Analysis Revenue Pricing and Analysis Budgets Accounting and Treasury enabling informed business decisions.
Location: White Plains New York United States
Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain data preparation tools for seamless data loads into the SAC software platform.
- Perform SAC master data maintenance and updates.
- Support SAC end users in resolving issues related to software navigation data version updates and reporting.
- Conduct research document findings and propose solutions for migrating Excel-based processes into the SAC platform.
- Collaborate with IT staff and/or outside vendors to implement configuration changes.
- Implement reports and dashboards to present data concisely.
- Perform monthly data collections and reconciliation of Accounting Actuals between BW and SAC.
- Implement financial models and modeling changes to quantify the impacts of industry changes.
- Represent Business Services during software selection processes and implementations.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Working knowledge of finance mathematics accounting or economics.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and file organization procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to use Pivot Tables Tables and Database formulas within MS Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job assignments and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Proactive attitude toward learning and implementing change.
- Bachelors degree in Economics Finance Mathematics Business or equivalent.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Familiarity with utility finance and/or the NYISO market.
- Working knowledge of SAC SAP BI and/or NYISO DSS.
- Utility experience with an understanding of corporate finance and governmental regulations and requirements.
