Job Summary

We are looking for aCommercial Attorney (Associate)with a strong commercial background. A strong candidate that brings wide legal expertise innegotiating drafting and reviewing complex commercial contracts.This is an opportunity to join a dynamic legal team working on global matters with a strong focus on quality business impact and collaboration.

TITLE:Commercial Attorney

LEVEL:Associate

JOB TYPE:Full Time (Hybrid)

Minimum Criteria:

Admitted attorney with a legal degree
Minimum 2-5 years post-qualification experience in a commercial/legal environment
Proven track record in negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts
Based in Cape Town or willing to relocate within one month
Exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions (advantageous)
A mature team-oriented professional with strong interpersonal skills

Requirements & Responsibilities:

Draft review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts.
Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements company/client policies playbooks and/or industry standards.
Identify and assess legal risks associated with commercial contracts and provide strategic advice on risk mitigation.
Ability to analyze complex legal issues.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically in addressing legal and business challenges.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a legal team.
Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment handling multiple priorities efficiently.
