Job Summary

**Job Responsibilities: The work you might do includes but is not limited to the following:**

- Help with the treatment and recovery of patients. Start by doing basic checks like understanding their needs talking with them and using tests for mental health.
- Recognize mental health issues and nursing needs and teach patients about their care.
- Watch and record how patients are doing and share this information with the team.
- Help run group and personal counseling sessions and support activities for patients.
- Take steps to keep patients safe from harm or hurting themselves.
- Support patients with eating cleanliness and comfort needs.
- Check and note down vital signs like heart rate and temperature.
- Work with other agencies to coordinate care and treatment for patients. Have contact with military and community organizations to get additional information.
- Explain mental health services to patients and others.
- Help patients connect with public private and military support agencies.
- Keep accurate records and reports related to patient care.
- Assist patients dealing with intense stress or trauma.
- Maintain records of each patients treatment.

**Work Schedule:**
The standard work hours are Monday to Friday for 8.5 hours between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm including a 30-minute lunch break. No work on weekends no on-call hours and no work on holidays!

**Minimum Qualifications for LVN/LPN:**
- **Education:** You need to have a certificate from an approved nursing program.
- **Experience:** You should have at least one year of nursing experience after graduating.
- **License:** You need a current and active nursing license.
- **Life Support Certification:** You should have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- **Security:** You must pass a government background check.

**Minimum Qualifications for Psychiatric Technician:**
- **Education:** You need a certificate from a Psychiatric Technician Program or similar training that meets the standards set by the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians.
- **Experience:** You should have at least one year of experience after completing your education.
- **Life Support Certification:** You should have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- **Security:** You must pass a government background check.
