Summary of Position The Biology Department in the College of Science at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a Post Doctoral Research accordance with USCIS regulations successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Implement bioinformatic methods to analyze transcriptomic data across a developmental time series. Apply tissue imaging methods to visualize in vivo gene expression patterns in specific tissues. Work with non-model organism data and tissue. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to synthesize experimental results with broader evolutionary developmental frameworks. Prepare manuscripts for publication and communicate research findings at conferences and seminars. Contribute to mentoring graduate and undergraduate trainees in bioinformatic methods and wet-lab techniques.

Required Qualifications
PhD in Biology Developmental Biology Entomology or a related field. Strong background in developmental biology evolutionary genetics genomics and data analysis. Experience working with insects is a plus but not required. A track record of peer-reviewed publications in developmental genetics or related fields and strong communication skills.
