POSITION SUMMARY:The Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati is seeking a dedicated program coordinator to manage our ongoing flagship initiative. This critical management role will oversee the Cohen Family Leaders in Light Institute a year-long leadership development program creating a network of informed and influential change agents. This initiative brings leaders from all sectors backgrounds and beliefs together to connect in learning and action to build a stronger Cincinnatione that is home to a thriving healthy civil society where hate and extremism cant take root. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Project management - Manage the logistics and execution of an effective project plan for the Cohen Family Leaders in Light Institute. Support development implementation and evaluation of CFLiLI.
- Identify and facilitate grant applications for program funding including reporting.
- Oversee development of curricula and work with JCRC team to analyze and select effective institute materials
- Coordinate and support recruitment of Cincinnati civic influencers as fellows.
- Support development and execution of fellowship and subsequent community engagement campaigns and initiatives.
- Use analytical tools to track fellowship progress and outcomes and assist the JFC team in communication of program successes.
- Administration
- Work with Executive Assistant to manage operations of Leaders in Light Institute including (but not limited to) space reservation event planning and meal catering.
- Provide administrative support as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Experience - Requires a BA/BS and approximately 5 years of experience in relevant or related fields or equivalent demonstrable work experience
- Demonstrated excellence in:
- Community relations- navigating challenging and polarized political environments and complex community dynamic with nuance and tact
- Education- designing and executing curriculum (particularly adult learning and experiential learning) and other educational resources for diverse audiences with a focus on anti-bias education
- Advocacy to combat hate
Skills/attributes: - Project management and attention to detail- ability to work independently with consistency and follow through in order to set and execute goals
- Strategic thinking
- Works well in team settings
- Open-minded. Can see multiple sides of issues.
- Strong communication skills
- Highly effective interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of antisemitism and knowledge of extremist movements and other forms of hatred and bigotry
- Understanding of Israeli history and intersection of contemporary anti-Zionism and antisemitism.
- Some experience with budgeting a plus
- Familiarity with Cincinnati non-profit and advocacy organizational landscape a plus
