The position of Sr Financial Analyst FP&A Category Profitability - SharkNinja within FP&A will be responsible for working with Finance leadership & cross-functional departments in the business. The primary responsibilities will include supporting the SharkNinja Category teams working closely with our Product Development Marketing Commercialization SS&A and Engineering teams. This position will act as a financial business partner providing Profit & Loss insight and reporting in-depth margin analysis & leading cost optimization efforts for a subset of Shark categories. Reporting to the Manager of Category Profitability this position is part of a dynamic team that works in a fast-paced environment where keen attention to detail and an ability to partner with the business is crucial to success.
Essential Functions
- Prepare Category P&Ls and review SharkNinja P&Ls for accuracy
- Drive efficiencies and process optimizations to reduce the time it takes to create P&Ls
- Work with Category P&L input owners to ensure data is accurate when sent to the team
- Prepare monthly financial review packages for select SharkNinja categories
- Provide financial analysis and insights
- Drive action and follow actions through to P&L implementation
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and introduce new analysis
- Partner with Category Teams (Marketing Product Development and SS&A) to support both standard reporting and ongoing scenario analyses to enable informed decision-making while managing rapidly evolving assumptions
- Work cross-functionally with the business and FP&A colleagues to develop financial models.
- Create analysis and presentations that condense complex topics into actionable information that is communicated effectively to the business
- Ad hoc analytics and other duties including special projects as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree required in a Finance or Accounting field
- Minimum of 3-6 years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounting
- Previous experience with budgeting and analysis is preferred
- Objective oriented with a strong emphasis on business partnership and continuous improvement
- Effective communication and social skills proven ability to partner cross-functionally
- Proven analytical and organizational skills with strong accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work on competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required especially the need to have exceptional modeling skills in Excel
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
