A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Active Part Assembler you will be responsible for performing the assembly of the active part of the transformer and the necessary connections. This position is designed for someone with a growth mindset and a commitment to safety and quality compliance. You will receive specialized training in Large Power Transformer Manufacturing as well as cross-train in new processes as you progress in your job role. You will gain unique and valuable skills that will set you apart in the world of Large Power Transformers.
This position is based at our upcoming Siemens Energy Transformers Manufacturing Center in Charlotte North Carolina. The facility is scheduled to be operational in 2026. Initially your journey will involve supporting the factorys construction helping implement new processes building a high-performance team and coordinating all aspects of the setup to ensure a smooth transition into full-scale production.
How Youll Make an Impact
Performing the assembly of the active part of the transformers including coils angle rings cylinders etc. and making the necessary connections
Carrying out the assembly of the frames for fixing cables and busbars according to the drawings
Operating overhead cranes forklifts and performing welding when needed
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work plans and performing final inspections and quality checks in accordance with technical requirements and standards
Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols policies guidelines and competences coming from all current system EHS QA CyberSec etc..
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
What You Bring
An associate degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment will also be considered
Ability to use math read and interpret complex drawings and perform complex measurements.
Applicant must obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community college as well as a Forklift License and a Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights.
Ability to work in a fast-paced fast-paced environment.
Other Key Requirements:
Successful applicants must pass standard hearing vision and pulmonary function tests and be able to read write understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.
Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the area of training. Appropriate relocation support and compensation will be provided.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
