Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and the Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations**

Nature of Work

The fundamental reason this classificationexists is to manage a departments fiscal and property resources and provideanalytical and managerial support to the department head. The workresponsibilities include overseeing the operating budget and revenue sourcesmanaging procurement supervising payroll and personnel actions coordinatingsecurity and maintenance services and supervising at least two and personnel management are more complex due to the departments mixof full-time part-time hourly and contract employees. Supervision may beexercised over maintenance security or clerical staff. Supervision isreceived from the department head or an assistant department head.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelorsdegree in business administration public administration or a closely relatedfield and two (2) years of fiscal or property management experience involvingpayroll purchasing and budgeting with one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Note: Qualifying education training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.

Kind of Examination

The current vacancy is with the City of Montgomery Fleet Management Department. Applicants will be screened and qualified based upon education and experience as shown on theapplication and supplemental questionnaire.
