Join us as a Contracting Foreperson in Timaru!

As a Foreperson in our Timaru Contracting team you will lead a crew to deliver work safety on time and to the highest quality standard. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations including the coordination of all employees plant resources and subcontract personnel in your area of control.

In addition to the above you will:

• Ensure your team adheres to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate plan and organise plant labour and subcontractors to ensure the effective delivery of projects.
• Operate a wide range of plant and equipment to help deliver infrastructure projects across Canterbury.
• Maximise daily productivity of your team while ensuring a high quality of work.
• Foster a safe work environment by educating site workers on construction safety regulations and emergency procedures.

Were looking for someone with:

• A Minimum of 5 years experience in the contracting/infrastructure industry.
• Full clean class 4 licence and WTR endorsements.
• The ability to operate a wide range of contracting plant and equipment to a high standard.
• Experienced in pavement structures including final trim grader operation.
• Knowledge of UTS and Lica survey tools or similar.
• Working knowledge of Inspection and Test plans (ITPs).
• Outstanding leadership skills with proven experience supervising and leading crews.
• A strong focus on safety quality and our environment.
• The ability to communicate clear expectations to your team and suppliers maintaining a strong client focus.
• A passion for upskilling and developing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
