Job Summary
The Safety Specialist is responsible for providing on-site support for day-to-daysafety support procedure and process improvements as well as maintaining OSHA VPP requirements.
Perform work under the supervision or independently of the Site Safety and Health Officer (Safety Manager) establishes policies and procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgement and overall adequacy and accuracy. Contributes to the completion of the organizational projects and goals by performing tasks requiring discretion and general knowledge and ability. Errors in judgement or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify.
Requirements
Clearance Required: Secret
Requirements:
Two (2) years of safety experience in an office laboratory or industrial environment.
Proficient in MS Office..
Strong commitment to high level service and safety standards.
Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to plan organize and communicate with difficult people.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong sense of urgency; self-directed.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and government security background check.
