OT541: TFP - Florence SC 1500 Otis Way Florence SC 29501 USAThe Assembler 1 positions are responsible for basic mechanical assembly and occasionally may perform ground bond testing. This can include crating and packing using hand tools and PIV equipment. The Assembler 1 will demonstrate proficiency in using blueprints Manufacturing Tracking System (MTS) On Floor Sheets (OFS) and hand tools required in assembly. The Assembler 1 will demonstrate ability interacting with MTS and Quality by driving continuous improvement through active product resolution reporting turnbacks and documenting assembly defects or supplier failures. The Assembler 1 will participate in daily toolbox meetings and ensure shop floor management elements such as Tier 1 QCPC 5S Material Review Board (MRB) and other job duties assigned.
Shift: 1st
Hours: 6am-430pm (M-F & weekends as needed)
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical assembly including basic installation of sheet metal components and hardware installation
Utilize gauges such as calipers and protractors to verify that product dimensions comply with the event a nonconformance is detected perform basic assembly rework on various assemblies.
Utilize PIV for crating and packing requirements
Utilize shop floor management system to drive Tier 1 5S and cross-training principles to promote continuous improvement
Participate in required Level 1 OJT and cross-training on Level II assembly.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor or manager
Critical Skills:
Basic reading writing and math ability. Basic computer applications and use of product documents to ensure product compliance. Effective communication skills to drive improvement in defect prevention and flexibility to foster learning all Level 1 products/stations and cell configurations. Ability to train others in product configurations to drive cross-training and knowledge transfer.
Education / Certifications:
HS Diploma or GED
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: 0 month-1 year in production assembly
Preferred Experience: 1 years in manufacturing environment
